Chicago-based John De La Mora is a DJ and radio presenter with a career spanning over 20 years. Known as the U.S. producer of the wildly popular Trance Nation Radio Show & Podcast, John burst upon the scene at the remarkably young age of 13...
...having won a DJ residency competition and beating out other entrants that were more than double his age. Since then John's U.S. residencies has become a mile long.
Born on the Southside of Chicago, John got into DJ'ing at age 11 when his two older brothers bought used DJ gear. Being never allowed to touch the gear when his brothers were home he taught himself the art of mixing records. In a few short months John and his brothers were much sought-aftered across the Chicago house party scene.
Having won his first residency at age 13 John's entire teenage years were spent rocking the decks every weekend and contributing guest mixes to the U.S. cable TV program "Dance Party USA".
In 1999 John made his first abroad performances is Russia and Turkey, playing the massive trance sound which seduced him from the first moment he heard the sound. In 2006 he played legendary nine and eleven hour sets in the U.S. That same year John started the weekly Trance Nation Podcast, which quickly shot up the charts at the Apple iTunes Store. The show is nowadays downloaded in more than 100+ countries around the world every week.
Trance Nation is a project of Heller & Enkie from Germany. They are the producers of the worldwide famous and long running mix album CD series and they host the popular Trance Nation Events in the best clubs regularly worldwide. And John is participating in the project as the producer and presenter of the official Trance Nation Radio Show & Podcast. John is the only U.S. DJ ever to be part of Trance Nation.
The show now airs on over 40 FM and web stations around the world and continues to grow at an astonishing pace as John pushes the boundaries every week in search of the perfect mix!
